Taco Store was developed with Dustin Cleveland and Zach Litwack.
Taco Store is conceived of the lowest common denominator of franchise mexican fast-food restaurants, inspired by the surplus of such places in and around Tulsa, Oklahoma. A Taco Store unit is intended to have very low startup and operating costs by utilizing the most basic materials and construction and by having no employees.
The building contains a built-in vending machine that gives the visitor the option of buying a taco with or without sauce. The tacos are packaged in a sardine-type canister loaded with preservatives to keep them fresh. Each transaction comes with a sanitized nozzle to hook up to a centralized soda dispenser, allowing the user to have a beverage. The interior has no chairs, instead it has a high stainless steel countertop. The design of the countertop incorporates a trash chute and drain, and the building will periodically shut, lock, and cleanse itself.
A Taco Store unit is approximately about the same size as a parking space and is designed to be easily installed in any of the plethora of extra parking spaces found around Tulsa.
